🚢 The Great Windjammer Disappearance:Lost at Sea… Well, Deck 11!😂🍾🥂🚨

🚢 THE GREAT WINDJAMMER DISAPPEARANCE: LOST AT SEA… WELL, DECK 11! 🥂😂🚨

Another Day, Another Adventure Aboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas!

Heavens to Betsy Ross!!! 😂🤣

Y’all, I almost had to file a missing persons report on MYSELF this morning! And the worst part? I wasn’t even missing at sea! I was lost in the dadgum BREAKFAST BUFFET! 🤦‍♀️🥂

Let me explain before somebody calls the Coast Guard.

Well, this morning we decided to sleep in a little later than usual. I mean, we ARE on vacation, and apparently getting up early to eat breakfast in the fancy-schmancy main dining room was just too much responsibility for us today.

So, we decided to head to the Windjammer, otherwise known as the place where EVERYBODY on the ship goes when they don’t want to get dressed up, be waited on, or act like civilized human beings before 10 a.m. 😂

You know the place!

It’s where you grab a plate, touch the same serving spoon that approximately 4,782 other people have touched, and proceed to pile enough food on your plate to feed a small third-world country!

And the BEST part?

YOU CAN GO BACK AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT!

Two plates? Sure!

Four plates? Nobody’s judging!

Seven waffles, three omelets, a mountain of bacon, and a cinnamon roll the size of your head? GO FOR IT!

You’re on a cruise, people! Apparently, calories don’t count in international waters! 🤣

Anywhooooo…

Nobody else in our group wanted to go to breakfast this morning except my sister, Jessica, my dad, and yours truly.

Just the three of us.

Three innocent people looking for breakfast.

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?!

Well, apparently EVERYTHING when you put Christy in a buffet the size of a football stadium!

We walk into the Windjammer, and GOOD GRACIOUS ALIVE!

Was there a shipwide announcement that the last breakfast on Earth was being served on Deck 11?!

Because EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING aboard the Freedom of the Seas appeared to be in that dining room!

People everywhere!

People walking in circles!

People carrying plates stacked so high they needed structural engineering permits!

People standing in front of the waffle station like they were waiting for Taylor Swift concert tickets!

And then there were the three of us, just trying to find a dadgum TABLE!

After what seemed like 45 minutes of searching, we FINALLY found an empty table and claimed it like Christopher Columbus discovering the New World!

HALLELUJAH! WE HAVE LAND! 🙌

Well, naturally, the FIRST thing I needed to do was retrieve my morning medicine.

A COLD, GLISTENING PINEAPPLE MIMOSA! 🍍🥂

Because what better way to start a beautiful day at sea than with a little tropical sunshine in a champagne glass?!

So, off I go to the bar!

I order my mimosa, get my beautiful little bubbly beverage, and begin making my way back to our table.

Or so I THOUGHT.

Y’ALL.

WHERE.

DID.

MY.

FAMILY.

GO?! 😳

I started walking.

And walking.

And WALKING.

I passed the waffles.

I passed the omelets.

I passed what I SWEAR was the same woman getting scrambled eggs THREE DIFFERENT TIMES!

I made another lap.

NOTHING!

I looked left.

I looked right.

I looked behind a man carrying approximately 19 pieces of French toast.

NO JESSICA!

NO DADDY!

NO TABLE!

At this point, I felt like a five-year-old child who had lost her parents at a concert with TEN MILLION PEOPLE!

Except this five-year-old was a 54-year-old grown woman holding a pineapple mimosa! 🤣🥂

I was about two seconds away from grabbing a Royal Caribbean crew member by the arm and saying:

“EXCUSE ME, SIR! I’VE LOST MY DADDY AND MY SISTER! CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME FIND MY FAMILY?!” 🚨

I could already hear the announcement:

🚨 ATTENTION, FREEDOM OF THE SEAS PASSENGERS!

“We have a missing adult female wandering around the Windjammer on Deck 11. She answers to Christy, is approximately 54 years old, and was last seen carrying a pineapple mimosa. She appears confused but otherwise happy. If found, please return her to her father immediately. DO NOT REMOVE HER BEVERAGE!” 🤣🤣🤣

AMBER ALERT!

SILVER ALERT!

PINEAPPLE MIMOSA ALERT!

WHATEVER ALERT YOU NEED TO ISSUE, JUST FIND MY DADDY! 😂

And I started thinking…

What if I NEVER find them?!

What if I have to live in the Windjammer for the remainder of this cruise?!

What if they sail back to Miami and I’m STILL wandering around Deck 11 looking for Jessica?!

I mean, technically, I wouldn’t starve.

THERE’S A BUFFET! 🤣

But at this point, I realized something very important.

Royal Caribbean needs to implement a BUDDY SYSTEM FOR GROWN ADULTS IN THE WINDJAMMER!

You know, like when we were little kids at summer camp or in Girl Scouts!

Nobody leaves the table without a buddy!

Hold hands!

Count heads!

Tie a rope around each other’s waists if necessary!

Maybe even install one of those little GPS tracking devices on me!

Because apparently, I cannot be trusted to go retrieve a mimosa and find my way back to civilization! 😂

FINALLY, after what felt like three days and a complete circumnavigation of the dining room…

THERE THEY WERE!!!

JESSICA!

DADDY!

MY PEOPLE!

MY FAMILY!

MY LONG-LOST RELATIVES!

I wanted to run toward them in slow motion like one of those dramatic movie reunions where the music starts playing and everybody cries!

Instead, I walked up with my mimosa and announced:

“CRAPIOLO!!! HEAVENS TO BETSY ROSS! I THOUGHT I LOST Y’ALL!!!” 🤣🥂

I was FOUND!

Reunited!

Back among my own kind!

Praise the Lord and pass the pineapple juice!

Well, while all this chaos was happening, there was another little situation going on in the Windjammer.

Every few minutes, this mysterious voice from the heavens above the ceiling kept making announcements.

Now, they were saying something very polite about enjoying your breakfast and then exploring the beautiful ship.

But let me translate that into what I BELIEVE they were REALLY saying:

“ATTENTION, PEOPLE! EAT YOUR BREAKFAST, STOP RUNNING YOUR MOUTHS, AND GET YOUR ASSES OUT OF HERE! WE HAVE 4,000 OTHER PEOPLE WAITING TO EAT!” 😂🤣

I mean, seriously!

It was like they were running a breakfast evacuation operation!

“CHEW FASTER!”

“SWALLOW!”

“PUT THE FORK DOWN!”

“YOU’VE BEEN HERE 37 MINUTES!”

“GO LOOK AT THE OCEAN!”

And honestly, I can understand why!

Between everybody eating enough food to last until Thanksgiving and grown women getting lost trying to locate their families, the Windjammer was basically operating at DEFCON 1!

But WAIT!

THERE’S MORE!

While we’re finally sitting there enjoying breakfast, the COFFEE MACHINE decides it’s had ENOUGH!

BROKEN!

OUT OF ORDER!

DONE!

Apparently, even the coffee machine needed a vacation from this crowd!

And here comes the ROYAL CARIBBEAN SUPER FIX-IT CREW to save the day! 🔧☕

Bless their hearts!

Those poor people probably NEVER get a moment’s rest!

One minute they’re fixing a coffee machine, the next they’re unclogging something, repairing an elevator, or possibly rescuing a middle-aged woman who’s lost in the breakfast buffet!

I can only imagine their morning radio communications:

“Maintenance needed on Deck 11. Coffee machine down.”

“Copy that.”

“Also, be on the lookout for a woman with a pineapple mimosa. She’s been circling the waffle station for 20 minutes.”

“Copy that. Again?!” 🤣🤣

Well, despite all the excitement, I’m happy to report that breakfast was a COMPLETE SUCCESS!

I managed to consume:

🧇 TWO beautiful waffles absolutely drowning in EXTRA syrup!

🥂 TWO glorious pineapple mimosas!

And one unexpected adventure that nearly required a search-and-rescue mission!

Not bad for a morning when all I wanted was breakfast!

So, here’s what I’ve learned today aboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas:

Never underestimate the size of the Windjammer.

Never leave your family without establishing a meeting location.

Never trust yourself to remember where you sat when you’ve got a pineapple mimosa on your mind.

And for heaven’s sake, if you see a confused woman wandering around Deck 11 holding a champagne glass, PLEASE point her toward her daddy!

Because chances are…

IT’S ME!!! 🤣🥂

Until tomorrow’s adventure, I’m signing off from the Freedom of the Seas, where the waffles are plentiful, the mimosas are flowing, the coffee machines are fighting for their lives, and apparently, I need a GPS TRACKER JUST TO EAT BREAKFAST!

CARPE DIEM, Y’ALL! 🚢🍍🥂

P.S. If anybody sees me wandering around the Windjammer tomorrow, just take my hand and lead me back to my family. And please don’t spill my mimosa!
