What’s the weirdest movie you’ve ever watched?
🎬 THE BACK ROOMS: Two Hours of My Life I’ll Never Get Back! 🤯🚪😂
Heavens to Betsy Ross in the Revolutionary War! WHAT IN THE BACK ROOM DID I JUST WATCH?! 😂🤣
Today’s question is: What’s the weirdest movie I’ve ever watched?
Well, ladies and gentlemen, grab your popcorn, pour yourself a glass of wine, and possibly schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist because I have JUST the movie for you! 🍷🍿
It’s called The Back Rooms, and let me tell you something… whoever wrote this movie must have been living in another dimension themselves because WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HECK WAS GOING ON?! 😂
Now, let me attempt to explain this cinematic masterpiece of confusion. And I say attempt because I’m still trying to figure out what I watched!
There’s this man who owns a furniture store. Seems normal enough, right? He’s selling sofas, recliners, dining room tables, and probably a few throw pillows. Just your average businessman trying to make a living.
BUT WAIT! HERE COMES THE CRAZY TRAIN! 🚂🤪
Somewhere around the downtown stairwell area of his building, he discovers that he can WALK THROUGH A WALL into another dimension!
YES! A WALL!
Not a door. Not an elevator. Not even a secret passage behind a bookshelf like a normal mystery movie!
HE JUST WALKS THROUGH THE FREAKING WALL! 🚪💥
And on the other side?
ANOTHER FURNITURE STORE!
Except this one looks like somebody gave a drunk architect a set of blueprints, spun him around 47 times, and told him to start building! 😂
Rooms are chopped up, hallways go nowhere, everything looks familiar but completely WRONG, and apparently nobody in this dimension has ever heard of a building inspector!
I’m sitting there thinking, Sir, you own a furniture store! Why don’t you just go back to selling couches and minding your own business?!
But NOOOOO!
He keeps going back through the wall!
Now, he does have enough sense to MARK HIS WAY so he doesn’t get lost.
Well, congratulations, Christopher Columbus of the Furniture Dimension! You’ve discovered Narnia’s mentally unstable cousin! 🤣
And here’s where things get even more RESTUPID! Yes, that’s my word, and I’m using it!
HE TELLS HIS SHRINK! 🛋️🧠
Now, if I’m a psychiatrist and one of my patients tells me he’s walking through walls into an alternate furniture store, I’m probably going to suggest we adjust a few things!
But not this psychiatrist!
OH NO!
She decides to GO WITH HIM!
And she brings another guy along, and they VIDEO THE WHOLE THING!
At this point, I’m thinking, Well, at least somebody is documenting this nonsense because nobody back in the real world is going to believe a word of it!
So off they go into this IKEA FROM HELL! 😂
And wouldn’t you know it, there are some strange, creepy MONSTERS lurking around in this alternate universe who apparently don’t want anybody leaving!
MONSTERS?!
IN THE FURNITURE DIMENSION?!
Are they hiding behind the recliners? Crawling out from underneath the sectional sofas? Waiting in the mattress department to drag somebody into another dimension?!
WHAT IN THE MONSTER MATTRESS WAREHOUSE IS HAPPENING HERE?! 👹🛋️🤣🤣
And here’s the kicker!
The furniture store owner starts acting like HE WANTS TO STAY THERE!
SIR!!!
YOU HAVE A WHOLE REAL WORLD OUTSIDE THAT WALL!
You have a business! You have furniture to sell! You have actual rooms with walls that make sense!
And you want to stay in the Twilight Zone’s clearance department WITH MONSTERS?!
HEAVENS TO BETSY ROSS! SOMEBODY GET THIS MAN A MAP, A REAL ESTATE AGENT, AND AN EXORCIST! 😂
Meanwhile, I’m sitting there watching this movie, trying to connect the dots, except somebody apparently left the dots in another dimension!
Now, anyone who knows me knows that I can get confused watching a perfectly NORMAL movie. I’m the girl asking questions every five minutes while everyone else is telling me to SHHHHH because they’re missing the movie!
Well, let me tell you something!
THIS MOVIE DID NOT HELP MY CONDITION! 🤣
I had questions!
SO MANY QUESTIONS!
Who built these rooms? Why are the rooms chopped up? Why are there MONSTERS? Why is the psychiatrist crawling around in there? Why does this man want to stay? WHO IS RUNNING THE FURNITURE STORE WHILE EVERYBODY IS PLAYING HIDE-AND-SEEK WITH MONSTERS IN ANOTHER DIMENSION?!
And most importantly…
WHY AM I STILL WATCHING THIS?! 😂
I kept thinking surely there was going to be some great explanation. Some incredible plot twist. Some moment where everything would suddenly make sense!
NOPE!
Just more walls, more rooms, more creepy monsters, and me sitting there wondering whether I had accidentally switched over to somebody’s fever dream!
At one point, I think my alter ego, Spirit Water, would have taken one look at that wall, turned around, poured herself another glass of wine, and said:
“ABSOLUTELY NOT! WE ARE NOT GOING INTO THAT WALL! WE HAVE OCEANS TO EXPLORE, SHARKS TO SEE, AND PLACES TO GO! I’M NOT GETTING TRAPPED IN A PSYCHOTIC FURNITURE SHOWROOM WITH MONSTERS!” 🍷🦈😂
And let me just say, if I ever discover a mysterious wall in a building that leads to another dimension, I’m NOT going through it!
Unless, of course, somebody can guarantee me that on the other side there’s a gorgeous tropical island, crystal-clear turquoise water, a fabulous beachfront villa, and an unlimited supply of wine!
THEN we might have a discussion! 🌴🍷😂
But another furniture store FULL OF MONSTERS?!
HARD PASS!
So, after however long I sat there watching this cinematic journey through the Home Depot of Confusion, I came to one conclusion:
THAT IS TIME OUT OF MY LIFE I WILL NEVER GET BACK! 🤦🏻♀️
I could have been shopping online, planning another vacation, reading a book, organizing my closet, or watching Blaze stare at the wall for absolutely no reason!
And honestly, watching my cat stare at a wall probably would have made MORE SENSE than this movie!
Now, maybe somebody out there understands the deep, philosophical meaning behind The Back Rooms. Maybe it’s about alternate realities, the human mind, or the psychological struggles of a furniture salesman who has simply had enough of selling sofas.
I DON’T KNOW!
And at this point, I don’t think I WANT TO KNOW! 😂
⚠️ CHRISTY’S OFFICIAL MOVIE REVIEW ⚠️
⭐ Confusion Level: 5 out of 5 stars!
🛋️ Furniture: Plenty!
🚪 Walls: Apparently optional!
👹 Monsters: Uninvited and apparently refusing to leave!
🧠 Psychological Stability: Questionable!
🍷 Wine Required: At least two glasses!
⏰ Time I’ll Never Get Back: ALL OF IT!
🎬 Would I Watch It Again? I’d rather assemble an entire IKEA bedroom suite without instructions while being chased by a monster!
So, if you’re looking for a movie that will leave you scratching your head, questioning reality, and wondering whether your own living room might secretly lead to another dimension…
THE BACK ROOMS IS YOUR MOVIE! 🤣
But don’t say I didn’t warn you!
WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK! ⚠️😂
And if you happen to walk through a wall and find yourself surrounded by crooked hallways, chopped-up rooms, and MONSTERS lurking behind the furniture…
TURN AROUND, SWEETHEART!
THE SOFAS ARE NOT WORTH IT! 🛋️🤣
Until next time, I’ll be staying right here in the REAL WORLD, where walls are walls, doors are doors, and furniture stores are for SHOPPING, NOT MONSTER HUNTING!
Carpe Diem! Just don’t seize the day in another dimension! 😂🍷
