What part of your routine do you always try to skip if you can?

The part of my routine I skip if I absolutely have to—and hate to miss—is my running. Running helps me relieve stress and gives me time to reflect, whether it’s on the day ahead or the one that’s just ended. It clears my mind, centers my thoughts, and helps me feel better about myself overall.

Some days it’s hard to fit it in, especially when the time changes and the days get shorter since I run outside. But there’s nothing better than the sound of my feet hitting the pavement and spotting deer along the way where I live. It’s serene, soothing, and good for the soul.

Even though it’s easy to talk myself out of working out, once I lace up my running shoes and get going, I’m always grateful I did.
