So many men don’t seem to want an actual relationship — they just want to “date.” Casual, convenient, and commitment-free.

At this stage of life, I don’t have the time or emotional energy to waste on people who aren’t serious. I’d rather talk to someone for a while first and see if they’re genuine before I even think about going out with them. I don’t want to be seen around town with different men and have people whisper, “Wow, she dates a lot.” I’d rather take the time to really get to know someone first — not just jump into another first date that leads nowhere.
