What have you been working on?

✨What have I been working on? Myself — in every possible way.✨

Lately, I’ve been learning some hard but necessary lessons about life and friendship. Sometimes, the people you think are your friends turn out not to be — and that realization changes everything. It’s made me take a long, honest look at who I’ve surrounded myself with, why I’ve stayed in certain circles for so long, and how ignoring the red flags has cost me more than I ever realized.

It’s true what they say: you are who you hang around. The company you keep shapes your peace, your mindset, and your future. I’ve experienced firsthand how one person’s deceit can quietly pull your life in the wrong direction. It hurts to discover that someone you once called a “best friend” could turn on you — trying to save themselves while throwing you under the bus, all while hiding years of wrongdoings behind a smile. It’s a painful truth: the devil really does hide in sheep’s clothing.

If I could go back, I’d make different choices. My life would be lighter, freer, and far less complicated without that kind of negativity in it. But through it all, I’ve grown — stronger, wiser, and far more protective of my peace. I’ve learned that it’s so much better to have one or two genuine friends you can truly trust than a crowd of people who pretend to care.

Here’s to growth, lessons learned, and protecting your peace. Choose your friends wisely — because not everyone who sits at your table is there to see you eat.
